How do I pay?
Payment is through an online by credit card transaction.1stmonitor is
a subscription service. Once you sign up, your credit card is automatically
billed each month.
Our payment gateway 2Checkout.com accepts
any major credit card and online checks. All the transactions are encrypted and
secure using the secure socket layer (SSL). We do not accept PayPal at the
moment, sorry for the inconvenience.
Do I need to install anything?
No. 1stmonitor does
not run on your computer. All administration of your 1stmonitor account is done
through your Internet browser. You do not install any additional software on
your desktop or laptop.
How often does 1stmonitor check my sites?
Our standard checking interval is 5 or 15 minutes for all membership plans.
If you wish to generate less traffic to the monitored site or the site is not so
mission critical for you, you can change monitoring interval to 60 minutes. You
can also switch monitoring off and on for each site.
Can I be paged when the site goes down?
Many pager and digital services offer text-messaging via email, so you can use 1stmonitor's email
notification to send a note to your pager or cell phone. Check with your service
provider for details.
Can I assign a different notification email address to each website that I
want monitored?
Yes. You can assign a different email address for each website. We strongly
recommend to use email addresses that are not related with any of the websites
you are monitoring. Otherwise, when your website is out of order your
notification can be lost or delayed, until the failure is passed.
Could multiple notification addresses be used?
Yes, you can have multiple notification addresses. For every monitored site you
can enter a comma-separated list of email addresses (without spaces).
You can also put a list of email addresses in the user email address field to
get availability reports sent to multiple addresses.
Can I see the history of my site or service's availability?
Yes. 1stmonitor archives
the site or service history so you can know exactly when you site was
unavailable in the last day, week, month and year.
What's the meaning of states OK, CRITICAL, WARNING?
OK - Successful connect and correct response.
WARNING - Successful connect, but incorrect response message.
CRITICAL - Refusals and timeouts.
UNKNOWN - Other error.
How can I change my password?
Log in. By clicking on the CHANGE USR DATA button in URLS page, you will arrive
at a page for setting your password.
What if I forget my password?
If you can't log in or you forget your password, please email us at support@1stmonitor.com and
we will help you.
Can I monitor other web services such as email and ftp?
Yes. 1stMonitor tracks many internet applications. We support protocols http,
https, ftp, pop3, smtp, imap, ping, ssh, dns. Clickhere to
view all monitoring services.
Can I monitor my competitors' sites?
Yes! You can enter any URL for monitoring no matter who is owner of the site.
You can check them for up/downtime or by using keywords, for modifications. In
this way you can be notified when your competitor renews his web. Data collected
about websites is for your private use only and should not be published.
Is there a money back guarantee?
Yes! There is no risk in setting up a new account with us. We offer an
unconditional 30 day money back guarantee! If you sign up for a new account and
wish to cancel for any reason within the first 30 days, we will refund your
entire payment.
How do I cancel the service?
You may cancel your subscription at any time. If you would like to sign off
completely you need to send email to support@1stmonitor.com.
All the information we have about you and your sites will be deleted from our
database.
